With the power to coach comes the responsibility to be ethically minded for the safety and inclusion of everyone we interact with.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<p>Adopting the ICF Code of Ethics is just the beginning &#8211; learning to apply and embody it shows your commitment to changing the world through coaching. That&#8217;s why it&#8217;s critical for us to lead the way in standard-setting for the entire industry. To do so, we:\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Perform a regular review of our Code of Ethics to ensure relevancy for all coaches.<\/li>\r\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Require all ICF members and credential-holders to abide by our ethical standards.<\/li>\r\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Provide complaint processes that protect consumers and ensure fairness for ICF members, credential-holders, and accredited providers.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/coachingfederation.org\/credentialing\/coaching-ethics\/icf-code-of-ethics\/\" target=\"_self\"> Learn About Our Standards <\/a><\/p>\r\n<h3>Introduction to the ICF Code of Ethics<\/h3>\r\n<p>The ICF Code of Ethics helps us\u00a0 uphold the commitment to work with integrity, honesty, and support. It is designed to enhance ethical awareness, foster critical thinking, and offer clear guidance for confidently navigating ethical standards.<\/p>\r\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/coachingfederation.org\/resource\/insights-and-considerations-for-ethics\/\" target=\"_self\"> Deepen Your Understanding <\/a><\/p>\r\n<h2>Our Complaint Processes: Violation of Code of Ethics and Conduct<\/h2>\r\n<p>To provide consumer protections, ICF offers two complaint processes based on the involved parties.<\/p>\r\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/coachingfederation.org\/credentialing\/coaching-ethics\/complaints\/\" target=\"_self\"> File a Complaint <\/a><\/p>\r\n<h3>Complaints Involving an ICF Member or Credential-Holder<\/h3>\r\n<p>The Ethical Conduct Review (ECR) offers a forum where individuals can bring complaints about alleged breaches of the ICF Code of Ethics by ICF members and ICF credential-holders. The ECR includes several steps that are crucial to understanding the nature of the complaint and the points of view of those involved.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<h3>Complaints Involving ICF-Accredited Coaching Education Providers<\/h3>\r\n<p>Through this process, ICF reviews, investigates, and responds to alleged breaches and violations of the <a href=\"https:\/\/coachingfederation.org\/resource\/icf-coaching-education-code-of-conduct\/\">ICF Accreditation Code of Conduct<\/a>.
